It's easy to remember 'Tav' - in the common 'Object marker' = "את" (Pronounced as = "At") - many Christians like point to:
Revelation 22(NASB)
13 I am the Alef and the Tav, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
That's Jesus(Yeshua) speaking ... declaring he is the first and the last. While some would go crazy every time "את" is seen in the Hebrew Bible... I guess they we have to admire that Jesus(Yeshua) was divinely wise to associate himself to the Hebrew Language in such an interesting way. (Please don't go create a whole new Theology around this!)תו or תאו 'T'v' or 'Tav'
In the pictograph form - it is a "Mark" or a "cross" (The Medical 'red-cross' sorts - NOT like the "Crucifix" ones - So there is no reason to get more excited about seeing "Crucifixes" all over the Hebrew Bible...
Now, one interesting "God-instance" would be seen in Ezekiel 9 (NASB)
4 YeHoVaH said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark ( תו T'v) on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.”6 Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark ( תו T'v); and you shall start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were before the temple.
Revelation 22 (NASB)
3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
The word "Seal" חתם (Ch-Tam) is linked to "Pledge" ערכון “Ara-von”
Eph 1:13-14 (NASB)
3 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed "Ch-Tam" in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge “Ara-von” of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
See also 2 Corinthians 1 (NASB)
22 who also sealed "Ch-Tam" us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge “Ara-von”.
A Seal חתם “cha-tam”
Blameless,
Innocent תם “tam”
To SIN חטא ‘”Cha-ta”
Fear, Terror, dread חת “Chat (hut)”
"Cha-tam" and "Cha-ta" are very nice word-puns used in Hebrew to describe - Sin being removed by a Seal (Association) - the blameless one who removes Fear/Terror/Dread!!
